Marcus Opellius Macrinus, Roman emperor (born about A.D. 165, reigned 217-218).

Macrinus was Praetorian prefect, effectively second in command of the Empire, under his predecessor Caracalla.

Macrinus was overthrown in favor of Heliogabalus by Julia Maesa (Caracalla's aunt) and her daughter Julia Bassiana (Heliogabalus's mother).
