(Redirected from Alex Feder)

Leonard Friend is the musical pseudonym of musician/songwriter/producer Alex Feder.[1]

Alex was the band's song writer, singer, and guitar player of The XYZ Affair, one of The XYZ Affair's hit songs is called "All My Friends". After the demise of his previous band, Feder moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and started recording as "Leonard Friend". His music has been described as a mix of LCD Soundsystem and Justin Timberlake.[2]

His first release was the Lynyrd Frynd EP, with lead single "Serious Music". Nylon Magazine called the latter "the smoothest-sounding debut we've heard in a while".[3]

In 2013 he released a remix of Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie".[4]

In 2024, Feder became the touring lead guitarist for a reformed Linkin Park, filling in for founding member Brad Delson who chose to step down from touring.[5] He first performed with Linkin Park on September 5.[6]
