Coonambula is a locality in the North Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Coonambula had a population of 80 people.[1]
Geography
[edit]The locality is bounded to the east by the Burnett River.[3]
History
[edit]Bilburie State School opened on 15 February 1931. It closed in 1938. It was on the western side of A Creek Road (approx 25°33′23″S 151°10′54″E / 25.55646°S 151.18164°E).[4][3]
Demographics
[edit]In the 2016 census, Coonambula had a population of 70 people.[5]
In the 2021 census, Coonambula had a population of 80 people.[1]
Education
[edit]There are no schools in the locality. The nearest primary schools are in Mundubbera and Eidsvold.[3]
