Description
Deutsch: Der jüdische Friedhof in Worms ist der älteste erhaltene jüdische Friedhof in Europa. Er entstand vermutlich in der Zeit, als die erste Synagoge 1034 erbaut worden. Er wurde wahrscheinlich auf dem Gelände einer großen Sandgrube angelegt, die beim Stadtmauerbau im 9. und 10. Jahrhundert ihre Oberflächenform erhalten hat.
