MTA New York City Transit was on-scene at a five-alarm fire at 3985 White Plains Rd. on Thu., May 2, 2013, in a building directly adjacent to the elevated 225th Street Station on the 2 line. Thick smoke banked across the tracks necessitating a suspension of service, while FDNY crews removed panels from the station's wall to overlook the situation.
