DescriptionA wedge of starlings - geograph.org.uk - 1069366.jpg
English: A wedge of starlings A large flock of starlings are performing an aerobatic display over fields near Gretna before roosting for the night in conifer plantations. The birds congregate at sunset, first in small groups and then in larger clusters, to form a mass of over one million birds creating elaborate shapes and patterns in the evening sky. Viewed from the B7076 where the amazing spectacle was watched by several people.
