This coin was alledgedly made in Sardis, provincial capital of Lydia, a satrapy of the Achemenid empire (Lydia was on the territory of present-day Turkey), between 500 and 450 BCE, so, during or soon after the reign of Darius I the Great. As the crown cannot be seen correctly and no inscription is seen, the king can't be identified with certainty, although the 4 crenellations of the tiara may suggest Artaxerxes II.
