Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | This illustrates the peculiar development process of the series, as discussed in the article, where storyboard and script are created together by the same people. Adventure Time is unique among many current shows in that it is storyboard-driven; whereas many shows use scripts first to plot out dialogue and action, Adventure Time staffers begin with a storyboard. This allows the otherwise visually-minded artists on the show to communicate how they want the episode to unfold, both in terms of its dialogue, as well as its visuals. The image used here depicts one such scene, from the episode "What Was Missing", storyboarded by Adam Muto. This image depicts a) the visual element of the storyboard, b) the unique way laid out, and c) the way action and other effects are also conveyed via text. |
