Одну из стен музея бывшего Пушкинского Дома, ныне Института Русской Литературы, в соседстве с портретами кн. Дашковой, Шишкова, Державина, Карамзина и др., украшает портрет миловидной средних дет брюнетки с выразительным лицом и вьющимися волосами, в костюме первой четверти XIX в., сидящей в непринужденной позе у стола с книгами (копия работы известного художника-портретиста того времени Варнека, ок. 1820 г.). Портрет этот с давних пор украшал залы Академии Наук, как унаследованный с другими в коллекции русских писателей и ученых от Российской Академии, приобретшей и приобщившей его к собранию портретов своих членов, хотя изображенная de jure и не состояла при жизни в их числе (она была почетным членом "Беседы любителей русского слова"). Женщина, удостоившаяся этой чести, была известная в свое время писательница и первая, составившая себе достаточно громкое имя, русская поэтесса - Анна Петровна Бунина.
