Fair use rationale for List of Doctor Who audio releases
[edit]Though the artwork pictured is copyright © to the BBC, I Futurehawk|talk 05:00, 27 August 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use law because:
- The image is a low-resolution reproduction of multiple covers;
- The image is being used for informational purposes regarding the lost episode soundtracks of the television program Doctor Who;
- No more free alternative exists;
- The use of the image in this article will have no effect on the BBC's or Loose Cannon Productions commercial use of the image in question.
Licensing
[edit]This image is of a cover of an audio recording, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the work or the artist(s) which produced the recording or cover artwork in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of such covers
qualifies as fair use under the copyright law of the United States. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. | |
