Summary

Description
English: Bathysaur or highfin lizardfish (Bathysaurus mollis) at the Davidson Seamount (2375 meters depth). This is one of three Pacific coast species. This fish is often found very still on the bottom; lying-in-wait as an ambush predator on unsuspecting prey items.
Français : Bathysaurus ou poisson-lézard à grande nageoires (Bathysaurus mollis) sur le "mont Davidson" (mont sous-marin situé à une de profondeur 2375 mètres). C'est l'une des trois espèces de la côte Pacifique. Ce poisson se trouve souvent complètement immobile en attente sur le fond ; position d'un prédateur en embuscade d'éventuelles proies sans méfiance.
