DescriptionBroad Street station - geograph.org.uk - 640815.jpg
English: Broad Street station Broad Street had once been a very busy station, with local and suburban services from all over the Greater London area, and some beyond. But by 1985 it was at a very low ebb, with only the half-hourly Richmond service remaining. Complete closure was not very far off. This photograph shows a Richmond train, formed of two Southern Region '2-EPB' units, about to depart. These units had been fitted with window bars for use on this service, because of the very limited clearance in Hampstead Tunnel.
