Scherl: 45. Geburtstag Hans Günthers Am 16. Februar begeht der bekannte Rassenforscher Dr. Hans F.K. Günther, Professor der Sozial-Anthropologie, seinen 45. Geburtstag. Professor Günther wurde in Freiburg i.B. geboren, studierte an den Universitäten in Freiburg und Paris und in der Anthropologischen Abteilung des Museums für Tier- und Völkerkunde in Dresden. Längere Zeit lebte er als freier wissenschaftlicher Schriftleiter und schuf während dieser Zeit seine grundlegenden und bahnbrechenden Werke über Rassenkunde. Im Sommer des Jahres 1930 wurde er von dem jetzigen Reichsminister Dr. Frick, dem damaligen thüringischen Innenminister auf den neugeschaffenen Lehrstuhl für Sozial-Anthropologie nach Jena berufen, im Jahre 1935 erfolgte seine Berufung an die Universität Berlin. Er hatte zunächst den neugeschaffenen Lehrstuhl für Sozial-Anthropologie in Jena und seit 1935 in Berlin inne. Er veröffentlichte im Sinne des Faschismus grundlegende Werke über Rassenkunde.

English: (rough translation): On 16 February the well-known racial researcher Dr. Hans F. K. Günther, Professor of Social-Anthropology, celebrated his 45th birthday. Professor Günther was born in Freiburg, studied at the Universities of Freiburg and Paris and at the Anthropological Department of the Museum for Zoology and Ethnology in Dresden. He worked for an extended time as an independent scientific publisher and developed in this time his ground-laying and trail-blazing work on racial categories. In the summer of the year 1930 he was appointer by Dr. Frick, now Reich Minister, as the director of the Institute for Social Anthropology at Jena. In the year 1935 he followed a call to the University of Berlin.
