Tag an ihren Balkon gewöhnt.

Rhin-Havelluch, sow stable with piglet box Central picture Martin November 28th, 1959 This is how the best do it - healthy piglet rearing through piglet balconies. The cooperative farmers at LPG Kremmen in the Oranienburg district were able to reduce piglet mortality by up to three percent by creating piglet balconies. This means that the piglets are not crushed by the sow, they do not drink manure and are kept dry. In addition, the sow has the necessary rest, in this way the LPG was able to increase its pig population from 320 pigs in 1958 (19 sows) to 1700 pigs (300 sows) in 1959. Currently, 14 sows are kept per 100 hectares. The goal is 20 sows per 100 hectares. Shown: Sows and piglets feel comfortable in the clean boxes with balconies. The piglets got used to their balcony after the third day. They are placed in their nest for the first 3 days.
