Summary

Description
English: Captain Meriwether Lewis (dustpan dredge), seen from the stern end. The barge, built in 1932, is now berthed in a diked basin beside the Missouri River in Brownville, Nebraska. The Lewis is a U.S. National Historic Landmark, and is operated as the Museum of Missouri River History. Two of the dredge's discharge pipes, supported by pontoons, are visible in the photo: one resting on a slope at the basin's edge in left foreground; the other partly visible in the lower right.
