Español: Charles C. Wood Taylor conocido en Chile como Carlos Wood Taylor (Liverpool, 25 de abril de 1792 - † Londres, 19 de febrero de 1856) Pintor, ingeniero, marino y militar británico que se radicó en Chile. Diseñó el Escudo Nacional de Chile, adoptado por el gobierno en 1834, incorporando al huemul y el cóndor. Diseñó además los primeros sellos del naciente Estado. Es considerado uno de los artistas extranjeros que más influyeron en la configuración de una pintura moderna chilena.
