English: Plaque reads "The Physiological Society. Sir Charles Sherrington (1857-1952). OM PRS. Physiologist and Nobel Laureate. George Holt Professor of Physiology, University of Liverpool from 1895-1913. Shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Edgar Adrian in 1932 for their discoveries regarding the functions of neurons. Sherrington laid the foundation for our understanding of the central nervous system."
