Description
English: World Hydrographic Day was celebrated by the Southern Naval Command on 21 Jun 16. The theme for this year was ‘Hydrography - The Key to Well Managed Seas And Waterways’. On the occasion, about 120 students from different colleges of Kerala (TKM College of Engineering and Technology – Kollam, St. Teresa’s College – Ernakulam and St. Xavier’s College for Woman – Aluva) visited Indian Naval Ship Sutlej at the naval base, Kochi. The students were shown various facets of hydrography including high precision equipment and the charts produced by India.
