| Description |
English: Drekin is a wooden Faroese rowboat, it belongs to one of the rowing clubs from Tórshavn, Havnar Róðrarfelag. The boats of Havnar Róðrarfelag are characterized by the dragon head in the front part of the boat and by the white colour and blue stripe on top of the boat. It participates in the rowing competitions in the Faroe Islands every summer. This photo was taken after the race for this kind of boats at the Joansoka Festival in Tvøroyri, Suðuroy on 25 June 2011. Drekin became number 4 in this race, in an earlier race at the Sundalagsstevna Drekin was the winner of 5-mannafar for boys.
Føroyskt: Drekin er eitt 5-mannafar, sum Havnar Róðrarfelag eigur. Henda myndin varð tikin á jóansøku á Tvøroyri 25. juni 2011 beint eftir at 5-mannafar's róðurin hjá dreingin var liðugur. Drekin gjørdist nummar fýra henda dagin, men á Sundalagsstevnuni var hann vinnari. |
