Summary

Description
English: Snapshot taken from the top of the Emery St. staircase, looking west over downtown Eau Claire. Barely visible on the far left is the Park Tower. In the midground left side, the long 2-story building it the YMCA, to the right of which the gray marble building is the Masonic Temple (the pillared building). The tan building to the right of that is an apartment building on the corner of Lake and Graham. To the right of that is another apartment building. Just a bit forward from that is another gray marble building (or maybe it's just concrete, what do I know?), which is the U.S. Courthouse, I believe is what the sign on Barstow out front says. The brown building that that courthouse partly obscures is the Graham-Riverside building, an office building, home to the RCU offices, although most of them have moved across the Eau Claire River, off the right of the frame, near Phoenix Park, behind the post office. The large low building protruding upleftwardly from the midright of the image is the headquarters of the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, the local rag. Kind of "above", that in the image, is the Episcopalian Christ Church Cathedral, and "above" that (with the red sign on top) is the Wells Fargo building. "Above" the Masonic Temple and the apartment building to its right, the long whitish building is the Eau Claire County Courthouse.
