Summary

Description	Español: Escudo de la Comunidad Autónoma de La Rioja:escudo partido, timbrado con la corona real cerrada. En la parte derecha, sobre campo de oro, la Cruz roja de Santiago alzada sobre el monte Laturce, escenario de la Batalla de Clavijo, donde dice la tradición que se apareció el Apóstol a las huestes cristianas. A los flancos de la cruz, dos conchas de peregrino, esmaltadas en plata y silueteadas de gules, símbolo del camino de Santiago, vínculo de solidaridad y cultura. En la parte izquierda, sobre campo de gules, un castillo de oro de tres torres almenadas, elemento común (con una sola excepción) a todos los escudos de los partidos judiciales riojanos, cabalga sobre un puente mazonado de sable, bajo el cual discurre un río en plata, el Ebro, que fertiliza las tierras de la Comunidad.
