This icon image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Exemplum JPEGis.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
This icon image was uploaded in the JPEG format even though it consists of non-photographic data. This information could be stored more efficiently or accurately in the PNG or SVG format. If possible, please upload a PNG or SVG version of this image without compression artifacts, derived from a non-JPEG source (or with existing artifacts removed). After doing so, please tag the JPEG version with {{Superseded|NewImage.ext}} and remove this tag. This tag should not be applied to photographs or scans. If this image is a diagram or other image suitable for vectorisation, please tag this image with {{Convert to SVG}} instead of {{BadJPEG}}. If not suitable for vectorisation, use {{Convert to PNG}}. For more information, see {{BadJPEG}}.

English: This file, originally named Sunrise in Silly Con Valley, seen from Admin's Point. is a multiple example, for instance for following Don'ts:
Don't ever use JPGs for text! Use PNG instead, if it has to be pixel-grafics at all. SVG would be preferable, if one could.
Same file is, on the other hand, an example for following hints:
Use JPGs for photographs: Landscapes, as easily can be seen here, do pretty well.
Be encouraged to do your own thing and to present it to the world.
Show your point of view.
Try to be funnier than those oldies - sometimes, at least. That would not do harm to the world.

It uses common sense.
As soon as it's author will be able to cope with, it might use CommonSense as well.
On User Talk:IP., beloved admin :Bdk: und The.Perfect.Beginner talk or talked about sense, nonsense and the usefulness of such pictures as well as about the importance of recently tried improvements (in German).

This elaborate Piece of Art uses Foo.JPGs most impressive view. It shows a landscape scenery seen from Admin's Point. Image:Foo.jpg cartoon drawing was originally created by User:pfctdayelise, photographed by herself using Casio QV-R41. Elise publishes her creations under CC-BY-SA, all versions. The idea to use some example-JPG came from :Bdk:, who published his contribution as PD-illegible.
