Description
English: The village of Kirkjubøur on the island of Streymoy (Faroe Islands). The large farm on the left is Kirkjubøargarður (also called Roykstovan), the worlds' oldest still inhabited wooden house, also a museum, from the 11th century. At the center is the -covered- Magnus Cathedral. On the right is 12th century Saint Olav's church.
Nederlands: Het dorp Kirkjubøur op het eiland Streymoy (Faeröer). De grote boerderij links is Kirkjubøargarður (ook wel Roykstovan genoemd), 's werelds oudste nog bewoonde houten huis, tevens museum, uit de 11e eeuw. In het midden is de overdekte Magnus kathedraal. Rechts de 12e eeuwse St. Olav's kerk.
