Deutsch: Zunderschwamm. A Pilz in natürl. Grösse; 1 derselbe senkrecht durchschnitten, desgl.; 2 Querschnitt aus der Röhrenschicht stark vergrössert; 3 desgl. schwächer vergrössert; 4 Pilzfäden aus dem Hutgewebe, stark vergrössert; 5 Längsschnitt aus der Röhrenschicht mit Basidien, desgl.; 6 Hymenium mit sporentragenden Basidien, desgl.

English: Hoof fungus. A - A fruiting body at natural size; 1 - the same in vertical cross-section, also natural size; 2 - cross-section from the tube layer, strongly magnified; 3 - the same, less strongly magnified; 4 - hyphae from the cap tissue, strongly magnified; 5 - lengthways section from the tube layer, also strongly magnified; 6 - hymenium with spore-bearing basidia, also strongly magnified.
