Source The Senghenydd Colliery Disaster of 14 October 1913. The caption in The Illustrated London News reads: "After the explosion which wrecked the pit-head gear and set half the Lancaster Pit Ablaze: the pit-head at the Universal Colliery after the disaster"
Author Unclear. There are five photographs on the page, and the newspaper states "Photographs by Topical, CN, Illustrations Bureau and Record Press"
