Summary

Description
English: The ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer is an experimental setup at HIE-ISOLDE (High-Intensity and Energy project of ISOLDE). It is being developed for precision studies of inelastic scattering and transfer reactions induced by radioactive ion beams. A broad science programme addressing important topics in nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics is envisaged. The ISS can be seen in the experimental hall of ISOLDE in building 170.
