English: Intraparenchymal liver injury between segment VII and segment VIII of right liver lobe (as evidence by irregular hypodense area) near the main portal vein after a direct blunt trauma (as shown on left coronal image and right middle image, axial view). There is also a right rib fracture (as shown on right upper image, axial view with bone window) but no pneumothorax (not shown here as there is no lung window to see the lungs). No free fluid is seen in this study (as shown in right bottom image, axial view). |
