Summary

Description
English: Fossilized skeletons of two adult male Diictodon that crawled into an underground burrow and curled-up together, probably to conserve heat during winter hibernation. It has been proven that in this species only mature males grow tusks as a sexual signal. In this instance a sudden flood event or possible a roof collapse killed and buried them before they could be roused from their cold-induced slumber.
