Description
English: Offered for sale in November 2019 by Abbott and Holder, when it was described as "MONK William R.E. (1863-1937) The Temporary Cenotaph, Whitehall. Etching printed in an edition of about 100 in ‘Monk’s Calendar’, for 1920, and showing the wood and plaster monument erected for the Peace Celebrations on 19th July 1919. The permanent cenotaph was unveiled on 11th November, 1920. Ex. Coll: Dr Alan Borg. 6.75x10 inches."
