Description
Deutsch: Die Galerie "Museum Giersch" in Frankfurt am Main. Die spätklassizistische Villa Holzmann am Schaumainkai 83 wurde um 1910 für die Unternehmerfamilie Holzmann errichtet. Die Villa hatte 1997 die Stadt Frankfurt für den vergleichsweise günstigen Preis von etwa 1,5 Millionen Mark an die Frankfurter Unternehmer und Senatoren E. h. Karin Giersch und Professor Carlo Giersch (Spoerle Electronic + UNIELEKTRO) verkauft, der dann gut sieben Millionen Mark in Sanierung und Umbau des Gebäudes steckte, in dem das von ihm finanzierte und seinen Namen tragende Museum untergebracht wurde. Allerdings sieht ein Eintrag im Grundbuch vor, dass die ausschließliche Nutzung des Gebäudes für kulturelle Zwecke vorschreibt.
