English: President Benigno S. Aquino III witnesses as His Excellency General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, signs the Palace Guest Book at the Reception Hall of the Malacañan Palace during the Official Visit to the Philippines on Friday (August 28, 2015). This is the Thai Prime Minister’s first visit to the Philippines since assuming office in August 2014. This visit hopes to deepen the Philippines’ partnership with Thailand, a fellow founding member of ASEAN and a long-time friend. Thailand is the Philippines’ 8th largest trading partner in 2014, with total two-way trade amounting to US$ 5.83 billion.
