Summary

Description
English: Norris Green The vandalised and graffiti strewn ruins of Norris Green, the mansion built in 1830 to replace the original mansion built in the 17th century by the Norris family. It stands in the park which was created for the large Norris Green council estate from the grounds of the mansion. The building itself was demolished in 1931 leaving just one wall of sandstone blocks showing the classical architecture of what was once there. Above the arch, a crest with inscription: ALTE VOLO "I fly high".
