English: AKA CAPT. JOHN HUYLER’S FARM; THIS HOME IS ON THE LAND ONCE OWNED BY LOYALIST JOHN ACKERSON. IT WAS SEIZED BY THE PATRIOTS AND WAS BOUGHT BY MILITIA CAPTAIN JOHN HUYLER. HIS SON PETER HUYLER BUILT THE PRESENT HOUSE IN 1836.
