Summary

Description
English: In Kharkiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the site of the destroyed Factor-Druk printing facility and met with its management.

The Head of State was informed that the previous morning, Russian invaders had launched nine missile attacks on the Kholodnohirsky and Osnovyansky districts of Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, a binding shop caught fire on the territory of a printing facility. At the time of the missile attack, there were more than 50 employees at the facility. 7 people were killed and 21 were injured. According to preliminary estimates, about 20,000 books for children and adults, including school textbooks, were destroyed. This was a full-cycle production, where almost all Ukrainian publishing houses printed books. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of this missile strike by the aggressor state of Russia. He also promised that the state would find money to restore production capacity.

Serhiy Polituchy, Founder and President of the GC Factor, noted that Kharkiv is the main producer of printing products in our country, but now there is a large capacity shortage. Publishers cannot print books, including educational literature, on time. This printing facility alone annually printed about a third of the total number of books in Ukraine. In particular, about 40% were school textbooks.
