English: LNER Gresley N7/3 0-6-2T at Stratford Locomotive Depot.
This is one of the 134 celebrated class N7 0-6-2Ts, designed for the GER in 1915 by Hill and perpetuated after the Grouping by Gresley, nearly all of which were based at Stratford and its sub-Sheds for working the intensive suburban services from Liverpool Street. It is N7/3 No. 69675, built 11/27 (with Belpaire firebox, subsequently converted to round-top) as No. 2635 (No. 9675 from 1946) and survived until 6/61 - not long after this photograph.
