English: At Tangalooma, the flensing deck remains as one of the only reminders of the resort's past as a whaling station. The upper deck was the flensing area, and a ramp came from it (see cut-out) to the water for whales to be hauled out of the water. Below were the cooking and rendering apparatus. To the right is a modern resort accommodation block.
