Description
English: Thale Noi Lake Reserve is a protected fresh water wetland located in Phatthalung province, southern Thailand. The wetlands are situated approximately 20 km inland from the coast. Thale Noi Reserve is a bio-diversity hot spot and one of the largest natural freshwater lakes in South East Asia. It is home to many critically endangered species. Thale Noi provides habitat and breeding grounds for over 180 native and migratory bird species that use the wetlands all year round on their annual migratory journeys between continents as far as North Pole, Alaska, Taiga and Siberia.
