Description
English: The Covenanter's Stone on Duns Law The stone within a timber fence enclosure and protected by a metal grid, is where a Scottish army under General Leslie reputedly raised the standard of the National Covenant in 1639. The cairn behind has a plaque which is inscribed:-

THIS CAIRN COMMEMORATES THE ENCAMPMENT HERE OF THE COVENANTERS UNDER GENERAL SIR ALEXANDER LESLIE
