English: In this alabaster bas-relief, the Assyrian king Tiglath-pileser III stands over an enemy's right shoulder. The king is being greeted by a high-ranking official and both are surrounded by attendants. The cuneiform inscriptions above narrate one of the king's military campaigns in modern-day Iran.
