Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Northrop DT-38A Talon (USAF s/n 59-1596) assigned to the Navy Fighter Weapons School pictured in front of the TOPGUN hangar at Naval Air Station Miramar, California (USA), in 1974. The Talon was one of the aircraft types employed as an aggressor for training at the school. Note the silhouettes of MiG aircraft shot down during the Vietnam War painted on the hangar exterior.
This aircraft was later converted to a QT-38A which included ECM function. It was retires due to damage on 20 December 1980.
