Jamal Khashoggi (Arabic: جمال خاشقجي) (age 48 as of 2007) is Editor-in-Chief of the Saudi newspaper Al-Watan. Formerly, he had served as a media advisor to Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud, while he was Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the United States.
Khashoggi had been the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Watan once before, during a short stint in 2003 before he was fired by the Saudi Ministry of Information after publicly condemning the incidental killing of Muslims by jihadists.[1]
