Urdu 1 is a Pakistani entertainment channel which broadcasts a variety of dramas. The channel initially used to air Pakistani, Indian and Turkish drama serials.[1] In particular, the choice of broadcasting Turkish soap operas, dubbed in Urdu, has been described as a successful "glocalisation" business model, which also has attracted criticism.[2][3]
