Ascension Saint Thomas is a faith-based, non-profit health system in Middle Tennessee, with a 125-year history in the area.
Today, the health system offers a comprehensive system of care, with more than 250 sites of care that cover a 45-county area in Tennessee consisting of 16 hospitals and a network of affiliated joint ventures, medical practices, clinics and specialty facilities. Across the state, Ascension Saint Thomas and its partner organizations employ more than 12,000 associates.
Ascension Saint Thomas is part of Ascension, one of the nation’s largest faith-based healthcare organizations. Ascension includes approximately 134,000 associates, 35,000 affiliated providers and 140 hospitals, serving communities in 19 states and the District of Columbia.
The Ascension Saint Thomas President and CEO is Fahad Tahir.[1]

[edit]Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is a collaborative effort among the Ascension Saint Thomas family, providing complete cardiac services from more than 45 locations.[4]

The Ascension Saint Thomas joint replacement program is Joint Commission certified for total joint replacement (hip and knee) at these locations: Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford and Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West.[5]
