Notable alumni addition
[edit]I would like to have someone added to a "notable alumni" page for Wilkes University. I would offer for consideration an alumni of Wilkes University, Dr. Asif M. Ilyas. Dr. Ilyas is a worthy addition to this Wikipedia page of notable alumni from Wilkes University for several reasons. Dr. Ilyas is a graduate of Wilkes and is one of the top hand surgeons in the country. He is the head hand, wrist and elbow surgeon at the Rothman Orthopedic Institute, whose corporate offices are in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Ilyas maintains offices at the Rothman Institute in Bryn Mawr and King of Prussia, PA. His medical school training was at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and his residency was at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Ilyas has improved the lives of numerous patients. But just as importantly, he has tirelessly served as a mentor to many surgeons over the years. Several hand and wrist surgeons in the PA/NJ/NY area have been mentored by him and much of their practices revolve around things Dr. Ilyas has taught them. As such, he has selflessly passed his knowledge, skills and abilities on to other surgeons and has been a force-multiplier, indirectly helping the lives of countless people and their families. His bio on the Rothman site should include more, but I would not doubt that this is by design as he is a very modest individual. I should know, I am a patient of his. I am not employed by any entity involved with medicine, his practice or any of the above named entities. https://rothmanortho.com/physicians/asif-m-ilyas-md" Sayrahnda (talk) 23:41, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
