[edit]the first paragraph and first sentence of the second are nearly identical and totally repetitave

Brian vs Bryan
[edit]according to his official website his name is spelled with a Y and not an I —Preceding unsigned comment added by GURT (talk • contribs)
- I've moved this page back for now as it needs to be moved properly, rather than copy/pasting as was done before. By doing a copy/paste, all of the article's edit history was lost on a redirect page. The (now redirect) page Bryan Mantia needs to be deleted by an admin so that this one can be moved into that namespace. MightyMoose22 >Abort, Retry, Fail?_ 13:41, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Bootlegs Dont Count
[edit]Im taking out the Rock In Rio bootleg from the albums section. No other musician counts a bootleg as an actual album.--Ecwnet 18:43, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Whilst discussing the album list does this sentence seem repetative to anyone else? "resulting in countless releases throughout the ‘90s (including such standouts as Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis, Transmutation Live, and Warzsawa, among countless others)" Plus there are 8 Praxis albums that Brain has worked on released over more than 15 years, hardly countless by anyones standards. Possibly a rewrite is in order. Not least because well Warzsawa and Transmutation Live are well basically the same record and I dont know a single Praxis listner who would rate them over live at Bonaroo, the entire section sounds like it was written using a guide by someone who has never listened to the band and is hardly impartial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.127.148.121 (talk) 15:45, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Equipment
[edit]It should be noted that the current equipment list are the specs for the GNR tour. He has different setups, he wouldn't play drums this big otherwise.
video
[edit]Looks like the video link says "forbidden" at the moment. 85.23.14.196 06:24, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Brain vs -- in article name
[edit]Currently there a potential edit war of the name of the article. Web searching both names are valid. Both AllMusic and the artist's official website refer to "Bryan 'Brain' Mantia" whereas Drummer World and typical encyclopedic practice would state the name "Bryan Mantia". A third option would be "Brain (musician)", which would be less of a compromise than "Bryan 'Brain' Mantia". Discussion would be better than edit warring. - Steve3849 talk 21:21, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I think there was consensus since Andre666 moved the page in December 2008. It stopped all those stupid references to either "Bryan Mantia" or "Brain" on all the related pages. So it's quite clear that it's the very same person. The case with Zonly is somewhat more complicated though, as he moves other pages too - also without consensus or discussion. See [1] and [2] for reference.--Avant-garde a clue-hexaChord2 21:40, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Bryan Mantia → Brain (musician) – more commonly used name, referred to by it during stints with all of the notable bands he was in. RF23 (talk) 10:16, 24 November 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 20:17, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Comment, how about Brain Mantia as per NATURAL? There's no dominant form IMO.--Ortizesp (talk) 21:40, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nowhere has he been referred to as Brain Mantia, it's always either Bryan "Brain" Mantia or just Brain.RF23 (talk) 01:14, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
