I edited this verb-noun sentence so it is noun-verb: "In January 1663 arrived in London Philibert, chevalier de Gramont, who had been exiled by Louis XIV because he had courted Mademoiselle Anne-Lucie de la Mothe-Houdancourt, on whom the King had set his eyes. It now reads: "In January 1663 Philibert, chevalier de Gramont arrived in London. Gramont had been exiled by Louis XIV because he had courted Mademoiselle Anne-Lucie de la Mothe-Houdancourt, on whom the King had set his eyes."
Long dashes were added in 3 places for date or page ranges.
Pictures/captions were moved or shrunk to fit the article.
The citations are much too detailed. But don't change anything, since there is a lot of good information there. In future, "Burke (1949), p. 3" is all that is necessary.

Portrait of Marshal Luxembourg

On 12 August 2022 User:Ecummenic changed the name of the image "Marshal luxembourg.jpg" to "Paul de Beauvilliers, duc de Saint-Aignan - Versailles MV 3571.jpg". It seems that this is the true identity of the sitter according to the website of the Musée de l'histoire de France at the Château de Versailles, which owns that portrait. I have not found this website. What should be done? Wikimedia has some other portraits of Marshal Luxembourg. The file "Francois-henry-montmorency.jpg" is an oil painting by an unknown artist with an inscription that identifies the sitter and dates it to 1693. It is in the Musée Condé. Could this be a good replacement? It is a bit faded. Or possibly "Marshal Luxembourg.jpg" (upper-case L) which is an engraving by A. De Neuville (1836-1885), apparently based on the painting of 1693.
