clarification needed

The article says:

"She is a also surf lifesaver, comparing in the sport when not involved with canoeing."

And it now reads:
"She is a also surf lifesaver, competing in the sport when not involved with canoeing."
An improvement, but not much.
These articles are poorly written, not proofread despite being looked at both by the person who passed the hook and the one who promoted it to the main page, and all too often consist of little more than lists converted to prose in sentences starting with "She" + verb. To put such articles on the main page does little credit to their subjects or Wikipedia. Kablammo (talk) 20:30, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
