Karlan Ahearne-Grant → Karlan Grant – He appears to have undergone a 'rebranding', dropping the "Ahearne-" part of his name at the start of this season. There have been a couple of attempts to change this within the article, the last of which, by @Cafcfan2k4, was (correctly) reverted by @JMHamo.

The change is described here. The Charlton OS has started referring to him as Karlan Grant,[1][2] (although has not fully updated his profile).[3] Soccerbase has changed the profile name.[4] His Twitter handle is @karlangrant.[5]

I'm bringing this to RM to gain consensus on whether the change is sufficiently established for WP:COMMONNAME and/or any other relevant policies. Nzd (talk) 11:35, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support per nom. The Kent Sports News article makes it quite clear that he dropped the hyphenated part of his name, and it seems to have been changed across the web. Also, as per this image, he has changed the name on the back of his jersey to "Grant"; if you look at this picture from 2017, he had previously gone by "Ahearne-Grant". 21.colinthompson (talk) 16:04, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
