Criticism

In response to concerns about Lancaster Newspapers' investment in the [Lancaster County Convention Center Project], and its status as something of a "Monopoly Press," http://www.newslanc.com was formed.

Fair use rationale for Image:LancasterNewspaper.PNG

Image:LancasterNewspaper.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. LNP Media Group Page Information Corrections

Hello, I work for LNP Media Group and I noticed that the information on the page is outdated. I'd like to propose some corrections, see below:

1 - The photo of the front page of the newspaper is outdated - we no longer use the "Always Lancaster" tagline under the LNP, we now use "LancasterOnline" in that spot. I tried to upload a new screen shot of a current front page, but it was rejected and I'm not sure how to get it approved by Wikipedia. 2 - The second paragraph and third paragraph (under Specialty Publications) mention three publications that we no longer publish:

- The Elizabethtown Advocate - No longer published in print or online. There is a separate Wikipedia page that correctly states that it is no longer published: The Elizabethtown Advocate

- Fly After 5 - The printed weekly paper was discontinued in 2017 and the online presence discontinued in 2019 and it was not officially announced, so I can't provide a source. The best proof it that its website has been taken down: https://www.flyafter5.com/

- La Voz Lancaster - The printed weekly paper was discontinued in 2017, but it still exists online here: https://lancasteronline.com/lavoz/, but the change was never officially announced, so I don't have a source to cite.

3 - The fourth paragraph (Steinman Communications) mentions two businesses that they no longer own:

4 - Further down on the page, there is a section for La Voz Lancaster which, as I mentioned above, is no longer "a bi-monthly news source", it is now "an online-only news source" here: https://lancasteronline.com/lavoz/

5 - The section for The Caucus is no longer accurate because the publication is no longer printed or online. This was never announced, so I don't have a source. The best I can do is provide their Facebook page, which hasn't been updated since 2019: https://www.facebook.com/CaucusPA/

6 - Under the LNP section, the tagline "Always Lancaster" is mentioned and it used to be printed just under the big LNP on the masthead. That tagline has been changed to "LancasterOnline" to bring the digital and print components more into alignment. Hi, thanks for your request. I'm gonna go through the proposals one at a time.

1 – Images on Wikipedia must follow the image use policy, which means they cannot contain copyrighted content (with a few exceptions). To include an image on Wikipedia, it needs to be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, which I assume is what you tried. If it got rejected, that's likely because a newspaper front page will certainly contain content that is not freely licensed.

2 – What do you suggest be changed in the article? I would recommend using the {{textdiff}} template to make clear and readable suggestions.

3 – idem

4 – I can't verify the source due to regional restrictions, but the same question as for 2 and 3 applies here too.

5 – Facebook is not a reliable source, as it is considered user-generated content. Content on Wikipedia needs to be sourced in accordance with the policy on verifiability at WP:V. If you don't have a source for a claim, it can't be included – we can't take everyone on the internet at their word.
