A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on October 13, 2009. The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that remains of Lund's Amphibious Rat, one of the largest living rice rats, have been found in association with saber-toothed cats, ground sloths, and glyptodonts? | |||||||||||||

[edit]This is a poorly-named page. Lundomys molitor is considered "Lund's Amphibious Rat" and the page title should redirect to that, or to the genus Thryonomys, as this genus' two species are named the lesser and greater cane rat, which is the closest common name for a mammal I can find to "cane mouse".TeamZissou 04:12, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- note: In working through the rodent stubs and amending the List of placental mammals, I've found that several pages on rodents by Exlibris are questionable in terms of accurate information. Could someone familiar with Brazilian rodents check up on the pages he's added?TeamZissou 04:24, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
